Creating a world with less cancer
A few weeks ago some of our San Francisco Bay area bloggers helped the American Cancer Society get the word out about the Cancer Prevention Study - 3 (CPS-3). CPS-3 is a long-term study that seeks to better understand the factors (lifestyle, environmental, genetic) that cause or prevent cancer and ultimately help eliminate cancer as a major health concern for future generations. Not only did our bloggers tell their readers about the study happening in their area, many of our bloggers participated in the study itself. ROCK STARS!

Polly was also quoted in SFGate about her participation:
"Participating in large-scale studies like this is a critical tool in the battle against cancer," said Pagenhart, 50, as she filled out a questionnaire at a Berkeley church that served as an enrollment site for the study. "There's so little that we, who are not research scientists, can do. You can participate in a walk or give money once in a while, but this is really specific, concrete."
